Background

The plant comprises two 330 MW units and two 660 MW units. Heat load allocation must simultaneously satisfy heating demand, power generation schedules, and equipment operating limits.

Methods

  • Cleaned and synchronized operating data from more than 300 measurement points, standardizing timestamps and interface fields.
  • Translated heating demand, power generation schedules, and unit output limits into heat load allocation constraints.
  • Calculated the allocation across four units for each operating condition and validated the results against historical plant data.

Results

  • The average net coal consumption rate during the heating season decreased by 1.2 g/kWh.
  • The system calculates heat load allocation in real time and delivers the results to plant operators as decision support.
